The Energy Ring app prioritizes efficient battery utilization. It operates silently on the screen, with minimal CPU load. When there is a change in battery level, the app quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. Additionally, the app goes into deep sleep mode when the screen is turned off, meaning it does not read battery level changes during this time.

Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service in order to display on the Lock Screen. It does not read or monitor any personal data. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals with visual impairments who may find it easier to interpret visual data rather than numbers.

The Battery Ring appears at the top of the screen, as shown in the screenshots. When there is a new notification while the screen is off, the breathing light flashes after 5 seconds. Double-clicking activates the screen.
